The ever-present advertising that makes us feel lesser or the political messages that roil us with fear or anger can put us in a state of logical bypass. Leaving us to react only through turbulent emotions.
The Four of Swords invites us to breath. To take back control and turn inwards. To rest. There is no need to know how to meditate, only to do it. Stop, take a breath, then another. Sleep and rest are essential. It can wait.
