There’s something that really opened me up seeing my dad in such a vulnerable situation.
He, like many of our parents I suspect, obscures his feelings and emotional state.
For dad it is through his silliness and sarcasm.
To see him perfectly exposed to see him on the edge of life, within the grasp of death. To see him as the fragile human we all are at the center of everything.
To see him so honest.
